Transactional Business Safety Recommendations:
Enforce 6 feet physical distancing and limit the number of customers in your business based on your size and space and encourage people not to touch things they aren't buying.
Continue to offer online, over-the-phone, and appointment shopping and ordering with curbside service as preferable options to in-store interactions.
Staff should wear masks to keep themselves and customers safe and set a good example.
Provide hand sanitizer stations and encourage customers to use them before & after transactions.
Reconfigure credit card process to eliminate the need for staff to handle cards or touch machine.
If possible, eliminate the requirement for customer signature on screen or printed receipt.
Wipe down credit card machine or touchpad screen after every customer transaction.
Require customers to bag their own purchases.
Sanitize surfaces between transactions as much as possible.
Staff who have symptoms or immunocompromised household members should stay home.
